Beetleball contains many different playable beetles. Each beetle has two abilities and optionally a passive.

The first ability is an off-ball ability that can be used when not holding a ball while second one is an on-ball ability that can be used when holding a ball.

Classes

Beetles are split into three main categories.

  • Offense beetles prioritize putting pressure on the net to aim to score goals against defenders.
  • Support beetles support the team through obtaining ball or map control, or doing things that help teammates complete their objectives.
  • Defense beetles aim to defend the net against attacks to prevent goals from the enemy team.

Subclasses

Theres 7 subcategories that further explain the playstyles of different beetles to aid people in finding beetles they would enjoy playing.

  • Snipers are capable of shooting the ball at high velocity towards a location. This is typically used to attempt to score on the net faster than the defender can react to it.
  • Brawlers excel at close combat and fighting for ball control. These beetles typically are capable of blocking tech of other beetles by stealing the ball and can get to a location quickly without needing a ball.
  • Speedsters can move very fast with a ball and will usually be found using Tech to move with a ball at extremely velocity across the map or towards a net.
  • Disruptors are beetles capable of disrupting the actions of beetles on the opposing team. This can be stopping advances with gold balls, getting rid of goalies that are trying to defend a net, or stunning or messing with the movement of beetles.
  • Utiltity beetles have aspects that are capable of supporting their teammates. This could be for example placing down something that makes their teammates go faster or be able to use Tech, or storing balls to help teammates form gold balls.
