A boost involves knocking beetles forward in some way in order to boost their momentum. This can be used to help teammates get to a location faster with or without a ball.

Boosting a teammate while they control a ball boosts them with the ball. They don't lose control of it.

A teammate can be boosted towards a ball in order to perform a boost-grab.

Headbutt Boost

The most basic form of a boost is a headbutt boost. This involves headbutting into a teammate in order to boost them using the momentum of the headbutt.

This can be used at the start of a match to help teammates get to the dung spawns faster than the opposing team. Typically dung spawns with some closer to your side and some closer to the enemy side but using a headbutt boost lets someone on your team contest the spawn on the enemy side.

Advanced Boosts

Advanced boosts involve utilizing the ability of a beetle in order to boost a teammate more than just simply headbutting them would do. These include the following

Combo Boosts

Using a boost while a teammate does certain other techs boosts the effectiveness of those techs. For example if a Dung Beetle is setting up a Dung Rush, while they use their q if they get boosted from some other source they can move around 2x faster than a regular Dung Rush.

The following are all known forms of combo boosts
