About The Shot

The Click Shot is an essential shooting mechanic unique to the Click Beetle, most commonly used to shoot downward from height. Due to the shot’s power, speed, and versatility, Click can score from almost anywhere on the map provided there is a clear, unobstructed angle to the goal.

While the shot can technically be performed from nearly any vertical position, it becomes significantly more effective when used from above. Height is commonly gained by performing a popup followed by Click’s Click Beetle.

Execution

Once in a suitable position, the Click Shot is performed by dropping the ball — not shooting it — and immediately using your Off Ball Ability.

The shot’s speed and trajectory are heavily influenced by Click’s positioning relative to the ball. Factors such as whether Click is slightly above or below the ball, as well as your current momentum, will affect the direction and velocity of the shot. Performing the shot while rising, falling, or at the peak of your jump will all produce different results.

Simple Step-by-Step

  1. Pop Up
  2. On Ball Ability
  3. Release Ball
  4. Off Ball Ability

Use Cases

The Click Shot is most commonly used to punish out-of-position opponents, score into open nets, or catch distracted goalkeepers off guard. However, it can also function as an extremely fast close-range attack due to the speed at which the ball is launched.

Practicing and experimenting with the Click Shot is essential for learning how different heights, angles, and momentum affect the ball’s trajectory and speed.
