This update features the release of the Longhorn Beetle due to the game getting 25000 wishlists on steam. In addition there are various other additions and improvements.

Features

  • Added the long awaited Longhorn Beetle! It has a grappling hook :)

  • Added a recenter camera button.

  • Added a free look button.

  • Added option to invert camera X and Y.

  • Added an auto rotate camera to movement setting.

  • You can now change the chat target with [Tab]. Targets include All, Team, and Party. This means messages you send don't have to also be shown to the enemy team.

  • Improved Goliath Beetle parry VFX.

  • Added a 1.5x currency increase to Ranked to account for queue times.

  • Added difficulty tags to Beetles in class select, and marked beginner friendly beetles with a green star.

  • Added ability showcase videos to class select.

  • Added Egg lootbox drop chances to the shop.

  • Emotes now play when selected in customization.

  • Wing Trails now show when selected in customization.

  • Added unique sounds to some Goal Effects.

  • Added new wishlist target (Atlas Beetle unlocks at 50k.)

  • Custom lobbies now show the average player level in the lobby browser.

  • Added a new leaderboard reward crown cosmetic with a number on it that increments each time you win a leaderboard LTM challenge.

  • Added a wishlist popup that gives you a free beetle egg if you wishlist the game.

  • Players at level 8 or below see button prompts in custom lobbies.

  • Added more Crash Test Dummy skins.

  • Added more Doodle skins.

  • Added a new Dung beetle skin.

  • Added Rainbow Lightning wing trail.

  • Added 8 new Wing Trails.

  • Added 2 new Emotes.

  • Added "Aura" sticker.

Changes

  • Nerfed Goliath Beetle Shield Bash tech (it doesn't add any new force, it only redirects.)

  • Goliath Beetle parry now only flips players camera's around if they are going above a certain speed threshold.

  • Goliath Beetle can now use its on-ball ability while aiming.

  • Fungus Beetle now has 3 charges on its off-ball ability instead of 1.

  • Tiger Beetle can now rewind while aiming.

  • Tiger Beetle can now teleport during shoot ball animation.

  • Improved Cosmetics icons.

  • Improved some sounds.

  • Improved some Goal Effects.

  • Made the Crater mushroom purple to avoid people mistaking it for a golden ball.

  • Currency gained from leveling up now scales with your level.

  • Wiggle emote now loops.

  • Improved match end "you lose" and "you win" UI.

  • Improved score and timer UI.

  • Improved Cyborg Beetle scope in art.

  • Improved some profanity detection.

  • Improved Dungball textures.

  • The ready up input UI in custom lobbies now flashes to incentivize lazy beetles to ready up.

  • Increased force start timer duration.

  • Custom lobbies are now sorted by lobby fullness percent.

  • Custom lobby browser now auto refreshes on an interval.

  • New players are now forced to play the tutorial before playing custom lobbies.

  • Trying to rebind input while using the wrong device now displays a popup.

  • Organized the settings menu a bit.

  • Changed the Snowman map mushrooms to be blue instead of orange.

  • Changed Rhino Beetle's spike texture.

Fixes

  • Fixed all players spawning on top of each other when the match starts.

  • Fixed dungball spawns merging together on certain maps.

  • Fixed spawned dungballs rolling off of pillar on Snowman map.

  • Fixed the beetle in customization having black lighting in game.

  • Fixed some UI controller navigation bugs.

  • Fixed Tiger Beetle's rewind trail not displaying at the right position.

  • Fixed reflections on the memorial statue.

  • Fixed pre-match chat not working sometimes.

  • Fixed Goliath Beetle's parry aim direction being based on current camera direction instead of initial camera direction.

  • Fixed Fungus Beetle launchpad ability spawning too close to the beetle which used 1 charge immediately.

  • Fixed a glitch that caused a beetle's ragdoll to never turn off.

  • Fixed spectator see-through player outline colours.

  • Fixed the rank change panel looping back around to max rank if lost rank below zero.

  • Fixed disabled input during match start countdown being overridden by opening/exiting pause menu/chat.

  • Fixed the Beach map's music being panned to the left.

  • Fixed inactive Ranked LTMs showing in party member tooltip.

  • Fixed beetle ragdolls breaking apart sometimes.

  • Fixed outline fill showing through beetles/balls (which looked bad as a spectator.)

  • Fixed UI tooltips not showing on controller.

  • Fixed some Skins naming inconsistencies.

  • Fixed goal effect firework colours.
