Welcome to the first edition of the Beetleball weekly news. News entries are taken from things happening around the beetleball community and things submitted by players.

Previous weeks will likely be backfilled at some point so this may not be the first in chronological order.

• 5v5 ranked happened temporarily for the steam PvP fest. This lasted for 3 days and two cosmetics are being awarded when the next patch happens on February 23rd to anyone who played a match. A bandana and boxing gloves.
• The 2v2 ranked deadline was extended by 2 days and ends today. In addition a new cosmetic reward was added to it for anyone that places in the top 100.
• New colorblindness modes were teased with an image that appears to show the nets with different colors than what they usually are.
• A revision was made to the rules of the third official 3v3 tournament (that is starting February 27th). In best of 3 games if you lose you may swap 1 beetle after you lose.
• One of the best players in the game, WyattCrimson, unfortunately passed away. Wyatt had the most wins in the playtest and was part of a team in the first official tournament that had no losses in the entire tournament. The developers will be creating a memorial in game so if you have any kind words you could like to say about him, dm NuiN so he can put them in it.
