A headbutt grab involves performing a headbutt and in the motion you get from the headbutt, grabbing onto a ball. This is useful from rest as it starts you with more speed due to the momentum of the headbutt rather than just grabbing it and walking normally.

Grabs can be pre-inputted and the grab window lasts for about a second where you can just walk into a ball (or headbutt into it in this case) and it will automatically grab it for you if its within the window

Inputting a grab while charging a headbutt will automatically perform the headbutt so only do it when you want to actually grab!

Headbutt grabs are most useful on beetles that propel themselves more from headbutts (in order to get more speed out of the headbutt grab). For example it is the foundation of most of the Goliath Beetle's advanced tech.

A headbutt grab can be used to gain vertical height through an Air Stall or Pop-Up.

Advanced Forms

Some beetles have advanced forms of headbutt grabs that play into their abilities in order to be more effective. The following is a list of all of the known ones:

Boosted Variant

A headbutt grab can have a Boost used after the beetle performing the grab has begun moving due to the headbutt. This gives the beetle performing the headbutt grab even more speed to then move with. This applies to all advanced forms of headbutt grabs as well.
