Various effects fruits are modified to perform

Fruits can have a modifier as part of their card or be afflicted with modifiers while on the field (typically Rotting). Modifiers perform effects to help or hinder your progress.
Fruits take on the modifier of the fruit that was merged into them. So if you have a fruit with Rotting and drop the same fruit with Sharp on top, the resulting merged fruit will be Sharp.
