Air Stall
TechAn airstall is a piece of tech allowing the user to gain a lot of height while keeping possession. The use of an airstall often leads to a Momentum Transfer but there are many uses.
To Perform
- Find a way to gain upwards momentum, often through a jump but there are other methods
- Drop the ball while the beetle is facing up, if doing an air stall from a jump release immediately after you hit the jump button
- Wait for grab cooldown to refresh
- Headbutt Grab towards the ball
This will gain a lot of height.
For an air stall do not shoot the ball upwards and headbutt grab as this loses possession giving an opportunity for the ball to be stolen which is why an air stall can be considered superior to a Pop-Up.
Advanced Forms
Some beetles have more advanced of airstalls that play into their abilities to be more effective. The following is a list of more advanced forms of airstalls:
Boosted Variant
Air Stalls can have a Boost applied to them while the beetle performing the tech is performing a Headbutt Grab towards the ball. This allows them to gain even more height than they would gain normally. This is easier to set up if the beetle is already in the air when starting to perform it.
