Harlequin Beetle
BeetlesThe harlequin beetle (Acrocinus longimanus) is a South American beetle of the longhorn beetle family, its got these huge front legs that it uses to hunt for food and attack other males. This beetle would be mainly a defender with slow speeds but the ability to stop beetles dead in their tracks.
- Passives: The harlequin beetle is uniquly able to carry two balls instead of the usual one. The downside is once its picked up two balls, it cannot drop them and has to have them be stolen or headbutted off. This means it cannot momentum transfer and has to rely much more on its teammates than a regular beetle. Its also got a larger grab range but increased grab cooldown aswell.
- Offball: This beetle would wind up its front legs and deliver a large smack. This hit smacks beetles off of the ball and changes depending on the beetles weight and size. On smaller beetles, the smack has increased knockback with slight negative momentum while on larger beetles it delivers a short stun. Medium beetles such as dung, bomba and cyborg would just recieve medium knockback.
- Onball: This beetle combines both balls its holding and fires a very quick shot directly forwards if both balls it holds have the same weight. if one ball is golden while the other is a 2 ball, the ball will fling to the side with the lesser ball and perform a slight curve-shot thats straighter the more even the weight. This also means that this beetle can combine two golds which would allow it to shoot an ungrabbable ball. this ball would break quicker than normal balls so youve got to time it right. (btw the curve on the shots is very little so aiming it will be very hard)
beetle lore!!! harlequill is a trans-fem beetle. Ladybug is her canonical sibling and so longhorn according to puppelero
